Belly But Modern - 90 Rap Retrofuturism

This conceptual design project explores the intersection of urban luxury and cultural expression, reimagining modern living through the lens of Belly (1998). The vision combines minimalist architecture with bold, unapologetic artistry, centering Black art as a narrative force within the space. Inspired by the elevated aesthetic of Off-White, the design juxtaposes industrial materials like concrete and exposed wood with plush textures and monochromatic tones. Deep greens, blacks, and metallic accents evoke a cinematic intensity, while oversized art installations transform the apartment into a gallery of identity and storytelling. This project challenges conventional ideas of urban interiors, celebrating culture, individuality, and modern sophistication.
